The posters for the Rodney District of New Zealand were designed as advertising pieces that would draw attention to the destination. The posters were designed with the Māori culture in mind. The Koru is featured in each design, as it symbolizes new life, growth and strength. The green color is taken from greenstone or pounamu, a precious stone to the Māori.
